when you use a jumper harness on a obd0 converting to obd1 how do you hook up the speed snesor so that the computer get the signal because i have a b16 p30 ecu where vtec is supposed to hit at 5500 but it hits at 6500 and i think its cuz there no speed sendor. any help

vtec engages based on other sensors as well; oil pressure, water temperature, engine speed, throttle position, among others. you might want to check those possibilities also.

if you are using a trans with electric speedo pick-up, you need to swap the pick-up out with a cable one. then you plug the stock cable in like OEM

obd0-obd1 conversion has nothing to do with speed sensor
