Speedo went nuts

At the risk of duplicating a thread....

Driving to work today, doing about 60 mph when "Plink!" and my speedo needle just went nuts! 2 sec later my CEL pops on. No other issues that I can tell (other than the increased mileage I'm getting sitting at a light and my speedo says I'm doing 120!)

So, what the hell is wrong with my car and what do I have to do to fix it?

Well first things first, get the code from the CEL and go from there.

It would also be nice to know what car your drive. If you have a 96-00 Civic, start by clicking on the Fuse 15 TSB in my signature.

Got my codes from Advance Auto Parts store:

P0500 VSS Malfunction
P1298 Manufactuer Control Fuel Air Metering
P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Bank 1 Sensor 2

Weird thing is that along with these codes my lights also are pulsing. Not fashing so much as low-highlow-high pulsing. So, electrical problem?

RonJ ~ Possible Fuse 15 TSB issue?

Thanks for any and all help guys!

Fuse 15 protects a bunch of different sensor circuits (explains the CEL codes), as well as the circuit for the voltage regulator in the alternator. Focus on the fix described in the fuse 15 TSB.
