Speedometer problems

I have a 2000 Honda Civic SI and my speedometer/odometer is not working. The needle doesn't move at all and the odometer isn't moving (may be a good thing). Anyone else ever have this problem? I am hoping that it is something minor- possibly the sensor. Any ideas? Thanks.

have you done anything to the car, had any friends that know what they are doing mess with the car? (Usually they don't thats why I ask)

Pull the gauge cluster out and check it for loose connection and stuff

check the speed sensor in the tranny perhaps?

Check the speed sensor and the wires to it.
