alright i got a Garrett Tb3056 .42/48 T3 off a 88 saab 9000...and right now its in the perfect place for the oil and water lines to go on my hf mani....the oil feed is at the top and the return is down.....well i test fitted it on another block and the wastegate hits....so im getting a piece from a guy on turbod16.com that going to make the hf a top mount manifold....... to where theres an adapter plate for the hf then a U- pipe leading to a T3 flange....i was wondering how i can spin the entire middle shaft and compressor side because i need to spin the compressor around as well.....but its the same distance as what i need the oil thing spun around so ill be fine if i can just spin the whole side and middle part....

remove bolts......turn center section. its that easy. i think on the saab turbos tho they use a clamp to hold the outter sections to the center......... iether way if its a stock turbo off a saab......especially an older one. your going to have to get some heat before you try to take the bolts out or your just going to break them off and then have more problems on your hands
have you looked at getting a different wastegate actuator? forge motorsports has a nice selection of them. some of them might be small enough to clear. it would be less hassle, and you can get a better quality actuator.
if you are going to clock your turbine housing, it's going to be a b***h. get some heat, get a dead-blow, and get some air tools. OR you can take it down to your nearest diesel shop, throw a couple bucks at them, and have them pull it off for you. take the pieces home, mock 'em up, throw it back together. viola!
