Springs or coilovers?

Hey guys, so im debating on whether or not to save up for coilovers or just get springs. My budget right now is about 200-350 and Ive looked into some springs. Not really too sure about coilovers don't know which brand is good and if there are any that around my budget. Would be great if you guys could give me a few suggestions on which one to get. Also should I stick with stock struts or get new ones. thanks

Get new aftermarket struts. You can save a little more cash and get coilovers. Look into Progress Coilovers.

If your budget is under $300, coilovers would be out of it anyways.
Maybe some lowering springs and an OE-replacement strut set

What turbo_freak mentioned about Progress coilovers.... They're great and all, for their price, but I chatted with Libertariat from Honda-Tech and as much as he recommends Progress, he would've waited a bit for a Koni/GC setup; and that's what i'm saving up for, as pricey as it is.

I'll actually just gonna wait for coilovers. I took a look at it and its way better in the long run so I am just gonna go with coilovers. Might go with Function and Form Type Ones or Skunk2 pro. One last thing, should I get a camber kit or just run without them. I read that some people dont use it and that some people do, not sure if I should get it or not.

The only reason he would have waited because spring rates are very limited and he does a lot of autocrossing. Otherwise on a daily, they are more than adequate. A nice solid coilover that gives you an automatic 1" drop due to the shortened shock body. However, these are NOT for slamming the car. If that is your purpose go with F&F. They are not the greatest but they are adequate.

Camber kits aren't really necessary DESPITE what some may tell you. Just get your car aligned.

coilovers + camber kit.. definitely worth the money so you don't keep burning through tires due to bad camber.

I've got FF type 1s on my Eg6 hatch, nothing but good things to say. They're quality parts, came with everything needed including new strut tower bolts and they have TONS of room for ride height adjustment. They will allow you to slam pretty low if desired.

You can pick them up for a decent price.. I got mine for $595 shipped! Look for Meng Motorsports on here.. they were a sponsor for a bit not sure if they're still around, ask them to get you a deal.. they hooked me up!

Thanks for the help guys, I think im gonna go with F&F and ive been researching around and looked into the washer trick. So when I get my coilovers im gonna give that a try instead of getting a camber kit. I heard it works pretty well and it last pretty long. Also its a lot cheaper then getting a camber. Also anyone know any DIY for putting on the coilover?
