A good, less expensive alternative is KYB - I picked up their adjustables for $310 for 4. They have non-adjustables that are even less $$

Get a matched set of springs and shocks. The Tokico Illumina set is very good from the many reviews I read about.

The best combo with GCC is KYB AGX. Great ride that doesnt kill your pocket book. If i were you though, i would look at the price for both.

GCC is what like 300? KYB AGX is then what another 320? For 100 more you could get a full tein basic setup wich is a full coilover setup (sleeves and struts). Just something else you may want to think about.

Personally i have GCC (h22 spring rate in front) with some KYB AGX.

werd, I have KYB GR-2's, no complaints here. I think the set of four cost me like $240. But that was like a year ago. Koni's are muy bien also.

in order to buy springs and struts that are matched, do they have to come as part of a kit? How can you match them if you decide to buy separatly?

That's the point, you'd have to know what the rebound rates are vs the spring rates of the springs. There are engineering principles here that I'm not sure how to work out. If you get a good match if bought separately, you just got away with good luck.

If you buy a kit, the springs and shocks are engineered from the factory to work with each others' rates, so there is no guesswork.

Very true. Which is why i was saying that a known good combo (i know cuz its on my ride) is kyb agx and gcc. :D

Also remember that suspension feel is all subjective. There is no right or wrong. At least none that I've seen yet.
