hey guys i am planning on boosting my y8 and i was wondering about the pistons i was wondering if i can have the pistons installed and it would be ok to drive since the compression on the pistons are 9.0:1 would i still be getting power out of this? becauase i already have the pistons but not the turbo yet lmk thanks and oh yea i was wondering about FMU's they have certain ones like certain FMU's are for certain compressions? so when i purchase an fmu i should purchase one for the 9.0:1 ratio?

Yea, you can run those pistons and drive daily. The lower the compression, the safer (assuming you have everything else to accomodate the turbo system: fuel management, injectors, fuel pump, etc) because it allows you more room for error regarding detonation. You can get by with cheaper gas (I wouldnt recommend it though). As for the FMU, get the 12:1 fmu (most of them are rising rate anyways), but it would be wise to get hondata as well, or crome to tune the ecu so that you are not flooding the cylinders with gas causing a washout (leaving no/little oil to lubricated the cylinder walls)

yea i have almost everything already basically these are the parts i have and will purchase, the turbo, charge pipings, intercooler, FPR, fuel rail, FMU, pistons, rings, rods, camshaft, cam gear, wastegate, boost controller, downpipe, turbo manifold, and as for ECU i'm gonna go with hondata S200 but is fuel pump neccessary?

edit: injectors also i'm gonna go with dsm 440 cc
