I was just wondering the different ways to keep the sub box in the trunk from sliding around. Right now ive just got a shoe box there but I want to make it look better and cleaner than that, so I was just wondering about different techniques that you have seen or you have. Thanks

I'm thinking of putting on some velcro (the rougher side) on the box and it should grip the truck carpret.

i just let it roll around. better bass when it bangs against something. ya know what i mean ? you could always strap it down. you can always be creative and clean with what you strap it down with.

dude this is what u do, get a perfect sized peice of wood, (i used the size like for a house for sale sign stake you kno?) and then you get some carpet from autozone or whatever that matches your carpet and wrap the stake or dowel or whatever you use with the carpet and then push subs all the way back(or forward) and drill the stake long ways across the bottom of the subs into the cardboard stuff that houses extra tire...this is what i did, if you can't figure out what i'm talkin about i'll take a pic lemme kno

i've got mine rigged with a few screws and as joe suggested, L brackets on a piece of wood across the back of the trunk by the seats, works perfect

I use some material like this. I put a layer under the trunk carpet, and set the box atop of it. Does not move. If the box slides on the carpet, put a layer under the box. That also works.

I used velcro, that will hold it unless you plan on autocrossin with the sub in, but who does that.

I use that too different brand but the same thing.. I just cut a piece out the size of the box and put it up under and it work great.

is that just like a rubberized mesh? If so you can that wicked cheap, and it's a great solution.

That's a great idea. I have a big roll of that stuff from my mother's old place.

This also helps boodt sound quality. Take some marine tie doen straps. Tie them around the box and hook em on th seat clips. That'll hold em in place. Then take a pool noodle and cut it into 4 2" sections for 1 sub box and 8 for dual. Put them under the box. The box will compress e to about 1" overtime ands they wont move around. Vibrations will be absorbed too! Did it in ym friends lancer. Looked good and sounded better!

that's cool until you have an accident and your enclosure comes flying up into the back of your head.

 mine is bracketed to my rear strut bar for now

How likely is the box going to burst through the rear seat back??
