steering wheel questions

i want to get an aftermarket steering wheel for my 98 hatch and i just have some noobie questions that i need answered. it would help clear things up a bit.

1) does getting an aftermarket steering wheel eliminate the turn signals and all that other stuff behind the steering wheel?

2) should i get it installed by a shop or is it DIY-able? i'm planning on getting this one:

No your turn signals are not affected. Do it yourself. Should only take less than 30 mins. But then you wont have an airbag Dont have any current pics of my wheel in my ED3.

my srs light is on anyways so i assume that i dont have an airbag. ither that or something is wrong wth it.

Will have pics in the morning. Have to go to work now. You should have that looked at. I dont really know alot about airbags.

airbags are scary. ill get a fearless friend to disconnect the wires from the airbag and make sure both pos and neg cables are off the battery!

honestly... id get a steering wheel with an airbag, ive had one save my life. Get a JDM one or something...

yea same here atleast get a NRG hub or something. That hub looks like crap.

Just take out the bulb from the gauge cluster

what's wrong with a steering wheel from ebay? it can do the same thing another steering wheel can. it all depends if you have money to spend on a jdm one or whatnot. money which i do not have. i just want another steering wheel because my oem one is all torn up.

still it just seem wrong to remove an air bag, be careful dude
