I just installed a brand new JVC head unit into my car and everything was workign fine, but yesterday i turned it on and you can only hear the speakers if you turn it all the way up and even then its still quiet. idk wat the problem is because if they were blown if would just sound fuzzy and the wires still plugged in in the back because sound is still coming in. any ideas???

speaker wires touching each other?...
that would cancel them out. causing them not to work. in this case it might be right. it is your wiring. take your head unit out as far as posible and turn it on and jiggle wires. also re-wire your harness. it could be anything

haha chill before you short a circuit mang.

sounds to me like one or more speaker wires are getting grounded out, check to make sure that ALL the speaker wires are still connected properly. if one came loose and is touching the car it could short the whole head unit

maybe the problem is that you bought a JVC head unit? Hahhahaha, j/p man, good luck figuring out what to do, if you gotta buy a new deck I'd go alpine or pioneer though.
