stereo not working??help

So when I got my civic the stereo was a mess! They didn't know what they where doing!! So I got a harness out of a 97 civic(mines a 98) and put it in all the wires r correct cuz its just matching wires. And it still doesn't work ! I checked the fuses and they r fine?? I thought it was the deck so I used my old one same brand and I knew it was working but nothing?? Its been 2 weeks and no music! any ideas? Can't post pics cuz I'm on my cell and don't have internet ..

Double check whether 10A dash fuse 28 or 7.5A hood fuse 47 (Back Up) is blown. This is best done with a test light -- click Fuse link in my signature.

that or make sure the wiring isn't fried.

Recheck your ground, that was my problem. I know im just guessing but anything helps.

Did you check both fuses with a test light?

Ill check the fuses again I don't have the fuse layout so I was going off diff ones on line I'm sure the wires r fine cuz I pulled them out rlly far ?

Check the speaker wires.
