Sterio power problem....

ok heres the deal my hatch (97) had a stock radio when i bought it and i went to put a aftermarket in and noticed the wires had been cut and put back together with but connectors. So i thougth i would soider the wires to make sure there was a good connection....now i dont have power. I am guess that since i soidered the ACC wire that i fried the power sorce? but the fuse for the radio didnt blow...anybody got suggestions?

if you have a multimeter or a basic 12v light tester like this


use it to make sure you have constant power, remote, and a good ground

if all 3 of those are good, then the deck is fried

sometimes there can be other fuses that can effect the stereo also
you can use the multimeter or light tester to check the fuses too

I will do this in the morning. I even tried putting the stock radio back in...no go. When i have some day light i will try there things.
