stock head unit+subs...will it work?

well i just bought some subs and plan to hook them up soon, but i have a stock head unit and my friends say i can use that if it has the audio pre amp outputs. but i didnt know if it did and i figured i would ask you before i tore it apart. so can you hook subs up with the stock honda head unit?

no, I had to get a line out converter

Line output converter. $24 at best buy. hook it up to your rear speaker leads on your factory harness and run ur rca's and remote wire. done.

it's a little box that turns your speaker cable into RCA preouts so you can connect the amp...

thanx meng 8) so thats all i need and ill be able to wire up my subs to my stock head unit correct?

yes... besides your normal power, ground, remote, rca wires.

You dont need the box, your amp should have high inpus

Yes it is shitty. I do nothing jack s**t all day, and getting in trouble for talking while all the other departments can huddle and talk for hours... ridiculous... and whenever I do something well or get a big sale no one notices or care, so why even try? hell, even my discount sucks. I'd quit if I wasn't making so much money lol 8)

i didnt do s**t all day today either. out of my 8.5 hrs, i worked for like 1 hr. it suked.

will hooking this up to the rear speakers take away from the rear speakers at all or will they not be useable, and how do i run the remote wire to the amp since i am using the in line converter.....thx guys in advance

I mean no offense by this, but you probably shouldn't be doing a sub install. You really seem to have no idea what you're doing, and you could possibly damage your audio equipment, short your electrical system, start a fire, etc. Take it to a reputable shop and have them do the work.
