Stock P72, Mild LS/Vtec Build.. Need Tuned?

I just got my car back from getting worked on and it feels pretty freakin sluggish compared to what the similar setup did in my friends car. I know the weight between cars isnt everything. I popped open the ECU and noticed that its a stock p72. I am currently running this setup.
11:1 Compression Pistons
Eagle Rods
Skunk2, Stage2 Cams, Skunk2 Valvesprings and Retainers.

I got my ass kicked by a LS swapped 96 Coupe. nothing special, just an LS swap.

Do you think that the p72 is insufficient for my setup or is it running fine put putting around town just a coverup for not being OK at WOT?

Anytime internal work and cams are done the car will need tuned. Get that P72 chipped and find a tuner near you.
