i want to strip my interior and add seats + harness.

just wondering what you would remove and what you would keep. i'm going for more of stripped look then doing it for faster 1/4mile times as i dont think it makes much difference.

If you're just doing it for "looks". Just remove the rear seats and spare tire and keep the side panels and everything.

Honestly, i just looked and asked myself the same thing lol

but I'm putting it all back in anyway pretty soon cause I have some jdm itr front and rear seats on the way and I sorta want the weight back there once I'm boosted.

Oh and this way, i don't have to spray the interior lol

If you are gonna do seats and harnesses you should get a roll cage too... there is a thread here about it

I think stripped interiors are ugly and useless for street use. Also try explaining to a cop how you werent speeding in your "5-point" race harness. LOL.

i had no interior for a while.. it sucks IMO.. its cool for a race car and heres my logic..

NO interior (race car): looks cool but is loud as f**k... and just tend to get old

ALL Interior (normal): you can still do things like roll cages and harness etc.. giving a race feel, but you gain none of the negatives of fully gutted

SOME gutted: just looks bad IMO.. its like commit to one or the other.. it will never IMO have a finished look.. you will always be on the border of being striped out race kind of vibe and a complete street car

theres my 2 cents... had it got old.. if i ever do a second car NOT daily driver.. it will more than likely be gutted..SINGLE racing seat kind of thing..

My rear interior is gutted, no seat belts, back seat, carpet, door panels, spare tire, jack...all gone. I want to tint the windows though so people can't really tell when I'm driving down the road. Plus I'm doing a cage and thats pretty hard to do with full interior on a 4 door.
