Hey guys,

any help is greatly appreciate on this one.

Im running a gt28r on my d16y8 with a p28 chipped with uberdata, as you all know. The car is converted from obd2-obd1. I recently installed a set of 390cc dsm injectors along with the turbo setup. The car is now running in limp mode as its getting a CEL #16, for fuel injectors. I have 390cc injectors (dsm), a honda resistor pack from an (89-91) & obd0 clips from a 90-93 teggy. So my question is, what could be throwing the code? Ive double tripple checked wiring / clips order / etc. Can obd0 clips be used on obd1? They fit, but im just not sure if you can mix obd...

+1 i was told to shave down something in my clip that prevents it from clipping onto the injector. (where did you buy that resistor box?)

yes, but even if the injectors are spraying too much / too little, it wouldnt throw a code - plus aftering reseting the ECU the CEL comes on and stays on with 2 clicks, before the engine even starts - theres a problem (typically on 2 clicks the CEL goes on for about 3 seconds and goes off)

inside the dsm injector, where it clips to your wiring harness, theres a small tab (its on the side closest to the firewall when installed in the fuel rail). that tab sticks out and will prevent your injectors from making a good connection. take a razor knife and slice off that tab, and your stock injector clips should plug in and click in with ease, and your problem should be solved.

hmm...cause I had obd0 clips and they fit on just fine...didnt infere with the clip (cause I know what your talking about), but it still threw a code, yet the clips were barely loose though so maybe that made a difference. Im doing what your talking about right now actually with some obd1 clips...ill let know.

if you use uberdata you have to put the injector size in the program

lol, im not that dumb. Plus, entering in the sizes only controls the amount, it wouldn't cause a CEL. Running too rich, too lean doesnt throw a CEL, at least not #16.
