It sounds more like the amp can't handle the speakers.. or just check the juice running to the amp
What's the wattage on the amp? 2CH or Mono?
Also the subs 2Ohm, 4Ohm, dual voice coil or single? and how do you have them wired up?

hmm, not too sure about that one. Try turning up the amp a lil to see if it still cuts out when the bass hits

wait, then that might be because of the cap. how old's the battery or alternator? You need the cap so the bass doesn't dim your lights or cut power in and out

wow im not tryin to be mean but a capacitor doesnt do s**t i used to have one and it did nothing, ive been into car audio for a very long time that only thing u can do is upgrade ur altenator to a high output one that puts out more amps, and get a optima battery.....

i used to have a 1.2 farad on my 800 watt rms amp and it didnt help.....idk maybe u'll get lucky goodluck

ok buddy i really dont give a f**k the Cap helped my car from being dead all the f**king time on the other had run the subs at full capacity then come back to me when your altonator took a s**t and your batter lost all charge you will destroy your electronics in the car if hes got some fatty f**king wires he will be fine with out an cap but if he has a small ass wire set up he needs a cap

y add somethen that doesnt even help to much it might help on quick bass notes other then that ur f**ked....just do it right and get a HO alt and a better battery

actually do the big three also i forgot all about it:

1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator positive to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine ground

Add them in addition to the factory wire. maybe use 4-0 gauge wire

Unless you had a upgraded alternator a cap didn't do s**t in your car. A cap can not re write ohms law and your alternator could not supprt a 2000 watt amp unless it was wound to about a 300 amp alternator.
Caps do pretty much nothing unless you first upgrade your alternator for larger systems.
And if you have small wire, the fix for that is to put the proper wire on the amp. Using a cap to fix that is just plain ghetto.

So in your own words good call on that one:roll:

and replacing the big three will give you a solid voltage flow. Keep everything the same gauge and you are set.

Good call chaos
