hey so i have a alpine type R with a 600 watt amp in my 99 civic dx and i have a few rattles, i have narrowed it down to my license plate and rear bumper are the only two things that rattle, does anyone have any cheap ideas on how to stop the rattling?

its a civic lol it will rattle, the proper fix is dynomat/cork lying ur trunk. sounds crazy its not to spendy but its amazing. cheap way to stop the LP rattle is to put something behind it that will keep it from hiting ur trunk, like roofing material, or dbl sided tape. basically something that can withstand being outside and can be cut to fit behind ur lp.

enjoy your rattling, i haven't found a god damn thing to do about the panel that holds the license plate (which is what seems to be making the noise in my car). you can try sound deadener behind the license plate, might help a bit. otherwise... i'm at a loss. aside from the obvious, which is to line everything with said material.

for the exterior, at least. the interior is another story.

what i did was jam a piece of cardboard into one of the install hooks and it stopped.

Grace ice and water shield from home depot its thiner then dynomat but you get so much of it you can layer it multiple times. also some Jute material from the carpet isle for sound absorption it also comes in a roll.
