I am going to put a 12 inch sub and amp in my 96 hb. I need some idea's. I want the most room possible but want it to sound good too and not be seen from out side. So wood is probably out of the question, just need some idea's on how to fiberglass them in. If you have any pics or idea's they would be appreicated.

if you dont want them to be seen from the outside why dont you get or build a hatch cover?

i'll take a picture of my 12' alpine type R in the trunk of my 98 hatch once i get the chance. It fits nicely and only takes up about a third of the trunk. It fits perfectly underneath the hatch cover, so yeah, u dont have to worry about people looking in to see it. I tinted my windows anyway, just incase i forget to put up the hatch cover, but yeah, its a good fitment, sounds awesome, and is by far the sub i would go for if i were you. The new ones can push 500rms, which sounds really good in a hatch. thats just my 2cents.

It really depends what you wanna spend and what kind of sub bass you like....I love my Kicker, but I suppose that's b/c I love lots of booming bass.
Tinted windows and a trunk cover are all you really need to hide your sub(s).
Can't tell you what to do for space, I'm also debating what kind of fiberglass setup to do.

I got an Infinity 12.1 Reference subw00fer that I'm not using. Just needs some soldering and it'll be ready to go.

I already have a JL 12W3 and a JL mono amp for it, just need to decide where and how to put them. I have a CX and it didn't come with a hatch cover, did the DX come with one? My windows are tinted already but i do need some sort of cover. I am afraid of it rattleing too much though, does your rattle alot?

I just have a simple set up. A 12" sub in a trapezoid kinda box that flushes pretty well against the backseat. It's held from moving by bungee cords, lol kinda ghetto but it works. Not sure what kind of sound quality you would want but it sounds decent enough for me. And I can fit probably 2 to 3 medium size duffle bags back there without much problem; anything bigger and you still have the rest of the car to throw it in, it is a hatch afterall.

I kinda want the middle to be free so if i lay the seats down i can put big stuff in it. So my thoughts are either have them on the two sides so the middle is free or do it on the bottom and craete a false floor but still have access to the spare tire some how. hmmmmm what to do, what to do, hehe.

The Imagedynamics are great space saving subs. I beleive the twekves go in .75 cubic ft. Here are our fifteens, 1.25 cu. each. Now thats a small box

see that trunk looks cool but is totally un usable space. I always need my cars to function, hehe.

Thats why we own a Blazer as well. My opinion, if you are going to do, do it right. Shopping, take the blazer.

I have an S-10 also but it has a system in it too. The civic is suppose to be my commuter car so my s-10 doesn't get stolen, but I can't leave anything stock.

haha the plan wasn't to get the #1 stolen vehicle on the planet to do, but I got my civic for $500 with nothing really wrong with it except it has a few miles on it. So the deal was too good to pass up.
