given the fact that subs take alot of trunk space would you guys prefer just getting them anyway OR running an amp off of 6x9's?

IMO subs > 6X9's.

But if you're more interested in saving space then getting some boom, go with some quality 6X9's. My sub is removeable when I need to haul stuff.

are you honestly saying buy sony subs?? they are nothing but s**t, if you want a lil bit more bass buy 1 10" sub, a good quality one that will take some power and call it a day

save up and buy a sub, the basslink is not bad, it just depends on what you listen to and how much bass you really want. I prefer my 12" type r and its the right amout of bass and it doesnt take up a whole lotta room. I would never buy bazooka bass tubes or sony subs, you might as well shell out the cash now instead of buying crap and having to replace it sooner than you would like to.

A 10" sealed box will make you happy and it doesn't take too much room.

im not too much of a bass obsessed person, so i dont have a sub in the car right now (besides the fact that wifey won't let me get it). i have the rockford punch 6x9 in the back and their pretty bassy, but they are still only speakers, so if you set it for a good sound, your front might not sound well. better off gettin like a small 10' sealed with a small amp, just enuf boom.

well yea...i have 2 12" and the bass is so hard i cant hear the words anymore...even though i only have around 800 watts rms... if i was you i would get like a 8" or 2 8" and see how u like them if not then get either more bass or less? all depends on what ur looking for?

i think 8's are a waste of money, imo. if you dont want much bass just get a 10 or 12 and turn down the bass and when you wanna bass just turn it back up
