hey i got a question i got an 15 kicker VR and i got in it my honda civic 2001 coupe and i was wondering if it is better for sound quality to face the sub towards the seats or towards the trunk?

A better " box " would probably solve all your questions... If not that , then padding ( dynamate or foam padding ) would be my next suggestion.

Switching the current existing box directions regardless of which way its facing isn't really going to make that much of a huge difference in sound quality. But for the moment , I'd recommend towards the trunk... More air would be moving this way.

Unless you completely seal your trunk from your cabin (and i mean an airtight seal), you must fire your subs towards the rear. Otherwise cancellation at certain frequencies will lead to a loss in bass output.

Ideally, the system should sound the same from the driver's seat with the trunk open or closed. If there is a major difference, then you are getting cancellation and must reposition the sub.
