Surface rust, bondo or not?

I have some surface rust in my back wheel well lips, after i sand them down should i use bondo or just prime and paint?

Suggestions appreciated, thanks!

well it depends how big of a rust problem it is but i recomend replacing the metal peices but if its not to bad sand it all good and bondo it

thanks for the reply, replacing the metal sounds like a complicated thing, it's not really rusted out, or through, just some surface rust it seems all along the wheel well lip.

i've read a few places to just prime+paint no bondo though, so im a bit confused.

if its not serious rust, no bondo is needed. i think bondo is usually used for like major dents and like little holes.
