Speed bumps have got me down... or up in this case.
I want to lower my car, but at my uni the speed bumps are so high that I just barely clear them at stock height. My friend has a lowered focus and its not even that low and everyone has to get out when he gets to a speed bump (Otherwise we hear fun noises). The road layout at my uni is just awful, we actually have a speed bump that is 6 inches tall (I wont have to go over it, as its for the apartments and I have the crappier housing which is before them). So with this bit of background it leads me to my questions.
Car Specs (Just in case)
97 Dx Sedan
I got a stock d16y7 completely mod free.
The only other relevant thing could be I have 17in rims (Free) and 205/40/17 tires.
At the stock height high speed sharp turns make a rubbing noise already on the front driver side. What could I do besides changing the wheels out for something like this. (I have the wheels on craigslist right now looking to trade for some 15's or 16's, but just in case that never pans out I wouldn't mind knowing my options)

- What types of suspensions can be put on our civics?
- What types of suspensions are very easily adjustable?
- I know that you can adjust like coil-overs but how hard is that to do?
- I'm not even sure whether or not it is worth it, what do you think?
- What are the primary benefits to lowering in a non handling sense?
