suspension squeek!! HELP diving me crazy!!

I have a lowered not slammed 2000 em1 and its making a terrible squeeking noise on even the smallest bumps! It almost sounds like styrophome rubbing against styrofoam however you spell it you get the idea or a squeeky bed. I can press down on the trunk and it makes the noise as well. Do I need shocks or just bushings or what I need this fixed???? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Are your springs sitting flush with the top? Jack your car up and tap on the springs to knock them loose and lower the car again to see if the problem is fixed.

It rained pretty hard this morning on the way to work. The car made no noise whatso ever so I am thinking it might need some lubrication somewhere on the shock itself or the bushings?? Anyone agree or have another idea of what it could be since that is the case??
