swap or turbo kits

A friend of mine is offering me a D16 turbo kit for 4k which includes basically everything that you need for a turbo setup. in the other hand i've been planning to swap a B series engine to my ride. which one will be a good choice. will adding a turbo kit on my D16 engine gives the same power output as a swapped B series engine? thanks in advance!

yeah it's a brand new one. there are cheaper ones as well like Greddy Sohc turbo kit which is about 1 - 2k. i can't really afford a 4k turbo kit. i'll be eating oatmeal 3 times a day for the next 5 months if i were to get it.

that is alot for a used turbo kit

maybe a lil more power than a b series swap (depending on what u get, b18c5 for N/A or b18c1 for boost, or even a b16)

a lot less potential IMO

manifold, downpipe, heat shield, type T wastegate, e-manage, 310cc injector, airinx AY-SB, tanabe exhaust (special deal), injen cai, BOV, and a NX universal kit. roughly about 3.5k to 4k. is it a good deal?

But even if it's new, it ain't worth it. Why don't you learn about turbo systems and piece together your own kit. It'll run you a lot less, bro. Then maybe you could have some strawberries with your oatmeal.
