hey new 2 club civic...have alot to ask about what 2 do 2 a 96 civic coupe......like what engin sawp 2 do....an h22 0r gsr or b16

First questions are how much cash do u have and what are u looking to do. All motor or boost?

Oh and are u going to be doing this yourself or will you have to take it to a shop.

i have 3000 and i just want an all motor....i ma take it 2 a shop to do it

Well that's not a lot if your going to take it to a shop but Id suggest a b18b1 unless you can find a good deal on a b18c1 or b16a2. But b16a2 doesn't have much torque and b18b1 doesn't have much top end nor does it have vtec. H22 is awesome all motor and u might be able to find one cheap cuz theres less demand but its a more difficult swap and its a bigger engine which means u may lose power steering, A/C etc and u have to find out how much a shop will charge u.

LsV is another good choice but if you dont know what your doing s**t can go wrong pretty fast

Yeah id suggest B18b1 for a cheap generous upgrade since theres SO damn many of em on craigslist all the time or do what i did, hold out for a good b18c1. But u gotta understand that just cuz u might be able to buy a Lon block and transmission for $2000 doesn't mean that u have $1000 to get it installed. There are lots of little things like mounts, shift linkage, engine harness or modifying your own etc thy u need to buy for the swap
