So I just got a set of 97 Integra LS front seats. The problem is: swapping the rails. From what I've read, the bottom part of the rails are just supposed to slide off (http://www.merritr.com/seats.html)...and that you're not supposed to actually unbolt everything from the seat. Can anyone help me with how to just slide the bottom rail off? It slides to a point but gets stuck. Thanks.

Hmm...I just re-read that...it does sound like what you said, but I thought it was the whole bracket/slider assembly that is swapped.

I would tell you for sure, but I haven't put my JDM ITRs in yet :what:

thanks for the bump. looking at it right now, it makes sense to swap the whole bracket/slider, but from what I've read it's just the slider?...and it says that on the site i listed above. I'd pm Eran since he just did his the other day, but his name is grey :???: ....

Ok.. here's an easier answer..
on each seat, the INSIDE REAR mount is the only one that doesn't line up with the corresponding bolt-hole..
On the back edge of the integra bracket, it has a little "ear" that sticks straight up.. you can cut this off with a hacksaw or whatever you have to use.. I used my 4" angle grinder and just ground it down..

Then I drilled the hole out a little bigger than it is originally. This allowed the bolt to thread into the floor, like it's supposed to.. This will allow all four integra seat mounting brackets to accept the Civic's bolts into the stock threaded holes..

that has a lot more work than if I were to just swap the rails/bracket. I don't want to have to cut or grind anything...nor do I like doing that kind of stuff to my car. Hopefully someone whose done it this way will be able to give an answer. Thanks though.

Well, that's up to you, obviously.. but it took me like 5 minutes to do both seats..

But anyway, I think there's a rivet or something in the rail, that needs to come out in orde for the lower slider to come out of the upper section.

Glad you got it squared away :thumbs up
yeah, me too lol. I was getting frustrated when I couldn't figure it out or get it to bolt in.

Thanks for that link...it seems hella more in detail
don't thank me, thank gabebauman lol. if it wasn't for him, I'd still be here trying to figure out how to put the seat in.

Oh, if anyone has a right side slider/bracket for a 96-98 stock civic driver seat lying around, let me know. I need to replace mine....
