i have a 92 civic si hatch that desperately needs a new motor. i want to be unique so i found a motor from an SiR civic that im going to drop in. i know the motor will drop in but i have an issue. i can get the longblock without tranny, ecu and all the fixin's for around a grand. i want to know if i have to change the ecu or can i get by with the stock ecu. i can probably get the motor and ecu for about 1300 and i need to know if i need to go ahead and spend the extra cash. any help would be awesome.

you need the tranny, ecu, axels, and mounts from the new motor to drop it in. just the motor will do you no good
