system question

i have a pioneer gm-5000t amp, a pioneer 200watt cd player and 2 bazooka 12s. i sold a system just like this then i bout another one only thing that is different is the cd player. i had a dual 220watt cd player and had no problem. now my subs wont come on unless i turn it up alot then they will come on but when i change songs i got to turn it down then back up again to get them to come on does anyone know what could be the problem

Wow this is weird. Check your wiring. Your amp turn on needs to be tied into the remote wire on the back of the deck. This is usually a blue wire. The wattage of your head unit won't matter you are getting all of your juice from the amp to power your subs. Make sure your RCA's are working and plugged up right and that you have a good ground.

but see the amp is always on so if it was a bad connection between the remote wire and the head unit then the amp wouldnt come on. i think it might be the rca because when i ran it i ran it behind the glove box and when i closed the glove box it pulled it against a piece of metal cutting it a little bit but it has worked since then

Might be grounding the signal. I would get new RCA's

:werd: check the RCA's, remote wire, and the gains on the amp, along with the setings on the HU, some have to be set to send a signal to the subs

In all honesty it does sound like the gains on your amp are low:lol: check that before ripping your carpeting all up. It could be that simple.
