Looking for a turbo, I found a T25 turbo, .48 int. .49 ext. I know it's a small turbo, but what do you think?? WAY too small?? I'm looking for 200 whp, with minimal lag.

:word:

if your running a stock motor then a t25 is a excellent choice.....t25 maxes at around 225whp....
my lil t25 on my gsr engine is currently doing 260.2 whp at 9psi on 92oct. then it made 277whp at 15psi.
ported/polished head with stock valvetrain and stock cams. 9:1 and 81.5mm, 440cc, hondata s300, royal purple, etc...

it's a good starting turbo and no lag for sure, plenty of fun! if not, then go gt28 series...my next plan fairly soon.

wow 275whp....nice

i bet its because you have a GSR motor though....1.8L compared to 1.5L or 1.6L....GSR has bigger pistons....and the head has a lot more flow so it can make more power comparded to a sohc....

If you want room to upgrade HP later in the future, you should get a T3/To4...

hey what do you know? I got one for sale... *hint hint. :D Trying to get rid of it.

i agree, t25 is great for stock motor, i just wasnt too fond of being in boost while cruising on the highway. that's why i upgraded to a garret t3/t4.

It will get you the power you're looking for and will be very streetable with minimal/no lag.

You can always upgrade the turbo later once you grow used to it.

Think of it like buying a motorcycle. Most guys don't go out and get the 1300cc 'Busa if they've never ridden. They'll start out on a 600 or 750 first and work their way up. Either way, good luck with the build.
