Tail light help!

I have a 2000 Honda civic Si. My tail lights won't come on when you hit the brake. All running lights work, all good bulbs, all good fuses, and new brake light switch. It has a aftermarket alarm system cause it's a auto theft recovery and I've unhooked it to see if that was the problem and still nothing. I read something about if the horn doesn't work then your brake lights don't either but the horn works, even cruise control works!! Help please

Get a test light and check for power at the fuse panel. The next thing to check is ground. Use the test light in the oppisite way. Hook the lead up to power then check the grounds. Some times fuses lie. Next thing is jump the brake light switch with a paper clip. Or use your test light to see if you ar getting power to the switch.

I've tested it that way at the fuse box and the wires in the trunk and I've got power and ground in both areas and i even ran a hot wire from the battery to the switch and still nothing. When i jumped the wires on the driver side tail light i could get the tails light to brighten up but it looked like it was shorting my license plate lights out...
