Get an amp kit or get a 12 feet 4-8 gauge wire, run it from the battery, through the firewall, under the carpet, under the rear seat, then lead to the trunk. Be sure to install an inline fuse and mount it 18 inches from the battery that is rated for your LCD's.

i tried that wireing it into the light it will only show the trunk open light on your dash to be turned and stay on. after research theres something it the light that cuts the power when closed. so in result i tapped into my cap for my amps. or find a constant power running around back there and tap into it, but hook up a switch so its now on all the time or your battery will be dead.

4-8 gauge wire for a couple LCD's isnt that overkill?

4 or 8 gauge to a distributer block. From there, you can use whatever gauge you need.
