tapping out at 5500rpm at WOT

5 speed manual

having a problem when the car is at wide open throttle

it bounces off a limiter aat 5500 rpm.

if im not at wide open throttle, it will climb pass.

anyone have this issue?

Maybe this thread can be of some help? I've seen this issue before but have yet to see a clear reason behind it. I suppose there may be more than one reason, so maybe the linked thread above can point you in the right direction.
