I have a 94 civic lx, 4-door.....I know...bleh....but I am doing a lil work on it. Lil by lil. So far i put in a short shifter, and an ACT street clutch, shift knob, ractive cold air intake and ractive exhaust. However, I recently bought Tein S-Tech Springs, Tokico Blue Shocks and am about to purchase my 17" adr sokudo 8's gunmetal with polished lip. My car color is a deep blue, i think its the factory blue. Anyhow, my concern is, since the tein s-tech springs just drop about 1.6 in the front and 1.4 in the back or 1.6 all around, when I put the 17s on there will it look weird or will they fit nice and neat on the rim ? And not have a big space and look queer. I dont want to slam it, but i want it to look nice, clean and neat. Keep in mind it still is a 4-door :\

I am a relative n00b, just getting into this "rice" stuff. So please bare with me if/when I ask stupid questions.

Thanks.

They will fill wheel gap fine. I have the same set up but with 15's and there is gap. Does it look queer??? You be the judge, not that I care. A little gap leaves room for roll.

Ok, thanks very much for the replies. I will definately just go ahead and do it now. I want low profile tires....somewhere around 205/40/17. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the brand of tyre and model that will last long. I rather pay a lil extra and know the front two will last me at least 6 mnths and den i can rotate.
I am taking my time with my civic, I will be taking some pics of my civic soon so you guys can see where it started from and what it looks like after i get some money :|

Actually the higher the life the more likely that the grip will not be there but then again, seeing as you're going w/ 17's it probably does not matter. In that case I'd just go with the cheapest you can find because the wear will probably be slow anyway. 205/40 17's are the only size you should use.

Assuming you fix your camber when you lower, without adjustable struts, you might rub on corners if you go fast.

I have had Falken Azenas, and I currently have Dunlop FM-901's and both are excellent - but def. not low profile...I like the chunky anyway

i have 17's and Tein S-Techs on stock struts. I get rub when i turn hard left but thats it. the gap is 1 finger in the back and a lil more then 1 in the front. and its a clean drop. i dont want to tuck my tires so the S.techs did really well. youll prob get close to a 2inch drop
