i just bought a cold air intake, header, high flow cat, muffler,and 02 extention wire last week for my 2000 lx d16y7. now i cant wait to put them on. however, the high flow cat that i puchased is a test pipe, which i thought was another name for performance cat. it is just a pipe with nothing in it! what the hell is a test pipe for?lol it seems to me it is a waste. since i wasted my money already, i am gonna get a 02 cel eliminator. i was told that it will keep the cel off. how true is this?

the test pipe is just a pipe. nothing in it which will prolly make your exhaust sound like ass. the cat conv. is mostly for emissions, and constrict air flow a bit. the test pipe will replace the cat and open it up. IMO you don't really need it for your setup...
