This is the story of my last blown engine. Blown engine # 3to be exact. So i am at the Ontario street races on a thurs day night and the weekend before i went to speedway and i stay had my slicks on and my car id # marked on my windows. So anyways I roll up to the line and nobody wanted to step up. Now mind you my car was only running high 14's. (14.715 was my quickest run that weekend). But i had that fresh off the track look so people were hesitant. Finally a mustang rolls up and its a v-6 so i know i'm gonna rape this guy and in the butt at that. We get flaggged and I launched at about 4200-4500 and my car just went haywire. My tach light failed to work and I have a chipped p28 with the mugen program but a rev limiter set at 11000. My car would not hook and as soon as I shifted BOOM! Tragedy. This was a week before I left for Navy boot camp, what a great going away present. I had a valve bent sideways in the head and it looked like someone had been nawing on one of my pistons. Heartbreak!

While in boot camp someone stole my v-afc, ctr headlights, cf hood, my slicks, silver comp tach, shift knob, and even my freaking mugen reservoir covers. I am rebuilding right now doing the 99-00 front end conversion and as soon as i feel it looks halfway decent i will post before and after pics

man, that is high. 9500 is already high. on stock valves, not even type r valve would stand up to that high. if it was stock sir, the most the valvetrain can handle is 8500 and thats pushing its limit already. after that, your valve start floating. it sounds like you still have stock valves because it bent, most aftermarket valves would shatter.
