thermo intake gasket?

any one used a thermo intake gasket? i was doing some read ups and they say they can lower ur intake temp by 20 degrees?

Yes. I don't think 20° is a good number. Maybe more like 10° on average. Not a bad investment.

I've read the main benefit is it helps keep your HP #'s consistent as it keeps the air cooler, rather than giving you more HP. Obviously as temp goes up, the car isn't going to run as good.

IMO, it's worthless on a DD, especially if you don't have many other mods. Just another part to throw money at. Unless you're doing some mild racing where this would actually come in handy, I just don't see a reason to get it.

if its a dd with a decent amount of mods and your already changing the intake manifold to an aftermarket one and if will be off anyway then yeah id invest in one. If your keeping a stock manifold and are just going to pull it off to do the thermal gasket no i wouldnt do it.
