Ok, im sellin my 99 Civic EX for $7500 to $8000, and with that money im going to buy a 92-95 civic ex for like 2k. If its in really shitty condition then i wont, but i can find one with high mileage thats in good shape interior and exterior wise, and my dad is a painter so he can repaint the car if needed. Then i found a COMPLETE Type-R swap kit with free shipping for $4195. Im guessing it will cost $500 to $1000 for installation. So that leaves me with about $3500 to fix up the car and get some basic bolt ons. Think this is a nice project to start?? Are Type-R 92-95 coupes quick? If so, how quick? Like 1/4 and 0-60 times on average?

type R as in B16B or B18c5

if I were i would swap a b18c1, they're cheaper and about the same power, then you would have 3500 to turbo it.

I love the look of my 6th gen.. I would NEVER sell it for an old gen+swap.. just not worth it to me.

ok...lets see

$8000 for sale
- $2000 for new buy
- $5200 installed engine
= $7500 spent

$8000
-7500
$500 to spend...not $3500....right?

It would cost more like 2500 for the engine if you are looking in the right places and install could be free if you know what you're doing or if you have friends who do. so you would have more like 2200

he said $4195 + 1000 installation...thats about 5200...im just using the numbers hes working with. of course you can do install for like $600 so...give or take a few hundred..but regardless, i dont think he;ll come out with 3200 for parts

for $4195 seems like a good price for a complete engine swap, but you have to consider all the other things you will need and installation yourself when your a n00b to honda engines arent good, ive seen many engine swaps get placed but they dont kno where the VTEC solenoid and ect are...
