so i guess my question is, has anyone ever left a note to buy your car?today was the 4th note in the last year asking to buy my car, ii suppose my car catches the eyes of many enthusiasts because its pretty clean, stock down to the hubcaps. do you think you would leave a note inquiring about a car?

garry the reason you dont know what i drive is because its a "s**t box" lol, just a stock 95 red ex black interior, well maintained, "ok" paint and straight non rusted body that is also a 5 speed. i suppose there are fewer and fewer stock 95 coupes out here in northern california. im not saying my cars a gem, but i would say its better than where most of the cars on here start out as. well aside from yours and that kid who got his from an old couple that towed the damn thing everywhere lol!

I've never been asked by someone to buy my car, but a couple have asked me if I'd ever consider selling it. I want to get a new car right now but I can't afford it. Even if I do get a new car, I want to keep this car and make it my project car.

well maintained, "ok" paint and straight non rusted body that is also a 5 speed.
That's why. I get complimented all the time on how well I maintain my car and how clean it is. It's been driven all-year, every year since it was bought in 98/99. My city LOVES to use salt. It's unbelievable how much they spread. Sometimes, you can't even see the road in certain spots. But my car only has a 1 or 2 rust spots on the outside, there aren't any major dents, and the paint is still okay. The car has 216,xxx miles and it definitely shows, but it's still clean for what it is.

Always start at a pricer higher than what you want... and keep a bare minimum in mind. You can always rapidly go down in price.

On the other hand, you say 2.5k, he says "Sold!" You'll walk away thinking "Damn, he probably would have paid more than that." Remember.. he left a note on your car because he wants to buy it and believes he has means to do so... meaning that he's willing to pay AT LEAST as much as it usually goes for.
