Hey, my tax dollars are going to Iraq right now instead I guess.
This clip didn't make me feel bad at all. I used to give to beggers sometimes, but that was when I didn't live in WA, where there are fake beggers at every corner because they're too lazy to work or just doing it as a second job (I'm seriously not kidding). I don't make enough as is, I don't have enough to help anyone else out.
If this makes you feel bad then sell your new car, get a beater, and donate the money you saved to a poor nation.
I know it's not any of those kid's fault that they were born there, but it's not like it's our fault either. Look at some of the other countries in the world. The rulers are unimaginably wealthy, but the normal citizen is not. Why, because the ruler decides that most of the cash from whatever goods come from that land goes to him/her.
That reminds me of propaganda I've seen so many times before.
More needs to be done for those starving nations than just sending them money or food. They need their entire system rebuilt so that they can once again thrive on their own. As for the places you see that are little more than desert, perhaps there are sme places people are just not meant to live (based on it is difficult to grow things there, there is no shade, there is little to be taken from that land at all.
