Not a good idea. Not at all.

You are better off spending 60 dollars on a coilover system from ebay then to cut springs or get them heated. Now if you don't mind bouncing all over the road in your car then go ahead. But know that it is going to be a very harsh ride.

Don't DO IT........................

Never, i repeat NEVER go second hand when it comes to suspension. You're just begging for trouble.

ya... your shocks will go if you cut it. If you heat your springs they loose there "bouncyness" so it will just keep lowering until you have no spring left. Very bad!! like the others said, it's better to go cheapy ebay style then heat or cut them.

i agree with you guys go with cheap springs from ebay or a true coilover system..never cut or heat because i've heard of springs actually snaping on people and causing accidents. plus if you want to have decent tires on your ride you're gonna need camber kits. if you lower it just a little you could probably sneak by with little or no tire wear but if you slam it, kiss the inside of your tires good bye.

final thought - if you have the money do it right, if not go with an ebay coilover system but get camber kits.
