Throttle Bodies

What are my possible options for increasing the size of my throttle body? I am not in the market to spend 100's of dollars on a brand new billet...whatever else tb. Is it possible to use an tb off an ls? or some other kind of honda engine? I know i can bore mine out, but whats the limit, and how much does a machine shop charge to do that?

any 4 cyl honda tb will bolt up, there are some slight diffs in throttle cable placement, but they all work. it wont give you any hp, its more of a throttle response mod. the largest is off a h22a, then the h23's, then b20/b18c. you should be able to pirate one cheap in a junkyard.

ay, uh my friend said he took his car to a shop too look at it cause sumthin was wrong and they said he had a hanging throttle??? wtf is that ??? thnx.

"hanging throttle" sounds like it's not closing quickly

i believe that is when the throttle is getting stuck open or sliding shut instead of quickly like it should. But hell yea, ima go get a new throttle body at a junkyard for like 15 20 bucks, just needed to know it would work befur i spent muh cash, thnx.

yes any b, h, d, and f series will work with minimal work, if any. you wont get any power out of a larger throttle body if you dont port match your intake manifold.

how about i take you out in a field and shoot you for even suggesting i put a 30 dollar piece of metal in my intake, in hopes that it will 'increase my horsepower and mileage'. If you really think that old white haired lady talking about how her mechanic got pulled over in her 3 cylinder convertible, is a reputable car info source, somebody needs to beat the body kit off your car with a golf club.
