i got a bone stock itr with a stock exhaust manifold and runnin 13.7 i wanna run faster. besides building the motor what componets should i look into buying and what brands?

ITR and CTR header is actually a better header then most after market headers, i would leave it and get yourself a catback exhaust. If i were you I would go with a clutch and flywheel upgrade, CAI, and skunk 2 intake mani and TB

cai = cold air intake.. i would say to improve airflow and performance you should get at least everything these guys are talking about. cai, exhaust, ITB, and clutch/flywheel also helps alot as well !

i have the same set up you have and am in the same postion you are in. Type r's have the best or at least real good parts on them stock.

the type r and skunk2 intake manifold are the same and the type r throttle body is pretty big too.
so maybe get some real agressive cams or like others said a light flywheel for faster reving.
or even a super charger or a really nice header.

yea if i had a light weight car with a nice motor id go NA for the natural raw power without boost ;P

yea i had boost on a b16 blew that up real quick. see the problem is i hear that itb's are really hard to t une. i have s300 which it would make it easier. clutch and flywheel are coming i dunno how bad like a 50 shot would do.

ITBs are more likely to lose power with 11:1 compression...

i would suggest a header, fuel pressure regulator, cams, cam gears and a hondata tune. with some drag radials you should get closer to the 12's with all motor honda reliability.

why is this thread titled "time slips?"

hey just a question but if he sleeved the block and put rods/pistons could he boost his motor 15-25psi, even raising the compression up and boosting it or would it be too much of a danger to blow it
