I sell at a Honda dealership and I am having one of my Honda Techs change my timing belt/water pump, and I'm wondering if I will need to go have it re-tuned after he changes it? My b16 being boosted, would the timing be different and would he notice that or am I in need of that tune???

as long as you keep the timing the same you wont need to retune..

Did you for some reason move the cam gears in relation to the TDC mark? If not, then the technician should be fine with putting it back in time just as the Service Manual says. Why didn't you ask the technician this question?

if he did the job properly and put the belt on right.. you wont need a tune. nothing is changing...

He hasn't done it yet (I'm waiting on a tensioner to come in) and I was off yesterday and he was off today so I haven't had the opportunity. Thanks for the feedback tho, fig'd I would just get an idea as to whether or not this was gonna cost more $!!!
