timing

So i had the d16y8 head worked on and had the valves replaced and they didn't put the cam seal on, i know how to do it but now im wondering if the timing is off, how can i make sure the head is going to be correct when i have the block at tdc?

there are markings on the grear that is on your head clearly visible to the naked eye
it usually has 2 lines that line up to the head and then you have a UP etched into the gearstating thats where TDC is line that up and then make sure ur 1st cylinder is at TDC and put it on. a timing gun helps though to get it accurate as possible
