I would go GSR, instead of ITR or CTR, personally.. get the B18C. That motor is a great motor, and that's the motor you see the best gains out of. plus the itr is friggin' expensive

B16B (CTR):
1595cc (DOHC VTEC)
Horsepower: 185hp@8200rpm
Torque: 118lbs-ft@7500rpm
Compression: 10.8:1
Bore: 81mm
Stroke: 77.4mm
OBD: 2
Redline: 9000rpm

B18C (ITR):
1797cc (DOHC VTEC)
Horsepower: 210hp@8100rpm
Torque: 134lbs-ft@7500rpm
Compression: 11.0:1
Bore: 81mm
Stroke: 87.2mm
OBD: 2
Redline: 8900rpm

B18C (GSR):
1797cc (DOHC VTEC)
Horsepower: 178hp@7600rpm
Torque: 129lbs-ft@6200rpm
Compression: 10.6:1
Bore: 81mm
Stroke: 87.2mm
OBD: 2
Redline: 8200rpm

id get the ITR over the CTR motor anyday. Why? because they cost virtually the same, but the B18 has the bigger displacement along with the extra torque that the B16b lacks.

there are tons of mods for each....(it can get costly though) but IMO its surely worth the cash spent. A built type R motor OWNZ N/A

don't get the b16b because you'll never have any torque go with the 18's

the usdm one has 200, but the jdm one has 210. the jdm motors tend to have about 10hp more than the usdm ones... at least from what i've seen

mods will be relatively the same as any B18. the only problem you might run into is if you get a JDM b18c (ITR) cuz it may have some wiring issues. im kinda guessin, since a friend of mine has a euro accord type r engine and had a few more differences than your normal H22. just a word of caution.. try findin someone who's swapped a jdm itr if you decide to do that. its been done, so they will be able to help you alot and give a heads up on things you would run into.

it's because they have higher OCTANE gas over there.

itr....higher compression....bigger displacement(more torque)....just as high revs.....and type R transmissions have shorter gearing...better for 1/4 mile times which i assume is your goal....i wouldn't suggest driving it too much on the highway...not much for top-end....when i say not much i mean alot...just not quite as much as the gsr...but who wants to go 150mph anyway.....
