TL Engine in 2000 Civic SI

I want fastest performance without any lag. I have a pimp 2000 Civic SI model and want to do engine replacemint and will convert hood around if I have to. I heard on the streets that it's possible to swap out any Honda Engine and put it into the CIvic. What parts do I need for this to work? I'm sure ur impressed with Engine, but don't hesitate to help me. Please no more hata posts cause jelousy is a sickness.

You should swap a ridgeline engine in it if you can put in any honda engine. That way you have power to drive your 20's.

K series motors are put in all the time around here. Im glad your thinking of putting a powerful motor in because its going to take alot to move those 20in chrome dubbs.

so you want chrome dubs, a fast and furious body kit and a v6 engine in your civic......are you sure your 27 and not 12?

5. drop the 20's idea. Especcially if your thinking of swapping an engine and trying to get performance.

If you want a GOOD looking car and have it haul ass

swap in a B18C engine, turbocharge it, get some 15" or 16" rota wheels, and buy a type r lip kit for it.

After that you can repaint it, do TASTEFULL MODIFICATIONS, and make it your own.

Or donate that money and that car to someone who would do somethign worthwhile with it. (like me)

CivicBoy80 - I can understand that you want to do stuff to your car, but you NEED to search around and do your own research before posting here. Don't get me wrong, we are here to help people out, but if you continue asking the questions that you do, your threads will continue to be locked / deleted.

It is. But they don't just plop right in and go.

Takes plenty, and I mean PLENTY of time to get measurements, materials, yada yada yada before you can even think about it actually working.

I.E. - my guess, you're looking at $10K+ and not even garaunteed it will work where as $5K will get you a working K20 swap.

But if you're really throwing 20's on it, get a 96-00 EX coupe and don't waste an Si.

What parts do I need for this to work?

Parts that YOU make because no one makes parts for this type of swap.

im not positive but i think they use a j32 or somthing. i think its an inline 6 but i have no clue. imo i think youd be better off with somthing easier like a h22(prelude) or K20(rsxs/civicsi)

To CivicBoy80 - want the best idea to have a fast car? Sell the civic and buy something else. Why spend money on bling bling $1000+ chrome rims and an incredibly hard swap (TL engine) when you can just buy a car that's fast out the factory?
