Suggestions please
I won this auction for a new valve cover for my D16Y8
I have the standard cover with the HONDA on it. This new one is polished and has the Honda emblem and Vtec and Honda below the Vtec. Its in really good shape, but the corners and crevices aren't polished. They are still in some rough shape. Would a chromer fix and smooth that out or would I need to go someplace else? Or I could just leave it as is. Comments welcome.

A good chroming shop should fully prep the surface for you if you need that service done... any chrome shop that just dumps the parts into the chemical baths isn't worth going to... go to a chrome shop and see what they say... if they look at you with a stupid look, go somewhere else...

:werd: ....I dont know if you have ever seen something get chromed, but trust me, there would be NO defects on your valve cover if you got it chromed...but make sure you go somewhere where they know what they are doing...good luck

The chrome will look good as long as that isnt the only chrome thing in your engine bay...other wise it will look out of place

this valve cover is badly polished. My mate polisched his H22 cover and it was top! no chrome needed

I got the exact same chrome valve cover on my ride right now. As said before, thing looks hot long as you got something else chrome in there. I'm goin for the chromed out engine look long with red wire loom all around to match my Milano Red baby. IMO, stick with the chrome as is, just do up the other little engine bits, IE...polished intake, fuse box cover, possibly radiator, intake manifold, any bit or piece basically you can change up. Just my 2 pennies worth.
