this thing is f**king PIMP!

it's better than my pioneer avic n2 at directions by a long shot.
i just used this thing to navigate through seattle to my hotel and it worked %100 perfect
then i used it to find resteraunts nearest to me, i saw a steak house.... then it gave me directions to it.. and again, it was perfect

sooo easy to use, connects to my celly via bluetooth and works as a hands free kit as well.
it can hook to the laptop via bluetooth or usb, it even goes wireless handheld for walkabouts :thumbs up

i HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a nav unit

tomtom go910 :thumbs up

it's gps, it's got it's own satellites ;)

it just has the ability to not only hook upto your celly or whatever, but it can download maps, directions, and videos on how to get there onto my celly or laptop

this may sound stupid but can it act like a gps locating device if your car gets stolen or if the unit itself gets stolen?

thats what i thought. so you hook it up to a cell or your computer to dl maps only then...

i dont know much about GPS but am thinking about getting one. are there monthly subscription charges?

NO service payments :D

it's great

it can also display realtime maps and direction onto my celly or laptop instead in addition to it's own screen

and the rep i talked too said it could be tracked if stolen as soon as it's activated, as long as you report it fast enough

I have TomTom on my PDA (HP 3650) and it is extremely good.. I do have a small antenna, about the size of a box of matches, but blends in well on the dash..

I love it..

the unit comes with a window suction cup mount. normally if you put them on the left bottom corner of the windshield, right above the inspection sticker, they look pretty good, since you can hide most of the wiring through under the dash and all. the tomtom91 is really reliable and user friend, but not the tomtom300, had many returns on those. some of them also play mp3s and audio books.

this one has 12gigs free to put mp3's or pictures onto

it also has a wire that connects to your cars stereo just like an ipod would so you can play them over your car stereo :thumbs up

OR you could just use it like an mp3 player. get a set of headphones and carry it around in your pocket just listening to mp3's... but my phone does all of that

i tucked all of the wires, even the mic and audio output cable to the deck.

when i get in the car it takes all of 30 seconds before it's all hooked up and turning on

again, i LOVE this thing

lol, i think i'm done buying navigation units for awhile :rolf:

this one is just as good as the tomtom for navigation... works great

but the tomtom has WAY more features for a few hundred dollars more...

i got this garmin for $300 brand new still sealed in the box, they're going for about $700+ s/h on ebay right now... that's why i bought it
