:rolf:

civics can have a class 1 hitch, so as long as you don't tow over 2000 lbs, you're good.
x2 :rolf: at that pic

i would never attempt towing 2000 lbs with my car, tow package or not

ive searched and i see that i could get a trailer hitch and ball for around 200. im just wondering if any of you guys actually use your imports to tow things around. my family just got a new jet ski and im sure im going to be gettin lots of use out of it this summer. its not too heavy...

just wondering how much strain it would put on my D16... and im concerned about gettin out of the steep load and unload dock at the lakes.

My car has troubles going up a hill, flooring it in 1st, with 4 passengers and a/c on. I don't get how you'd be able to tow 2000lbs....

the sticker on the driver side door jam should tell you the weight limit you can put on the car (assuming it's not modified)... but i wouldn't ever tow something with a civic. get a truck.

so true, but to the OP if you need to tow on a regular basis, or more than just this one time, go ahead and buy a truck. you can find something pretty cheap. any truck will tow 2000 lbs

a trailer hitch ball is not $200, you can buy them at walmart. and you wouldnt have to lug it around you just put it on the truck and leave it there

I believe he was talking about the actual receiver and not just the ball.

oh i thought he was referring to my post about him buying a truck and ive never seen a truck without one from the factory. but i guess he meant buying one for his civic
